Iatria Donates Services To Benefit Me Fine Foundation Inc.

Local Spa Donating Proceeds For Families Supported By Foundation

RALEIGH, N.C. – Erika Mangrum, president of Iatria Day Spa, has announced that the Cary spa, located at 2058 Renaissance Park Place, will donate all services to benefit the Me Fine Foundation Inc. on Sunday, Dec. 10 from noon-5 p.m. Proceeds raised from services will provide holiday presents for families supported by the Me Fine Foundation. The Me Fine Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that voluntarily provides assistance for critically and terminally ill children and their families at both Duke and UNC Children's Hospitals.

“The holidays should be happy times for families,” said Mangrum. “We at Iatria want to do our part in that effort. We encourage current and potential customers to use our services on Dec. 10 so that we may raise enough money to make Christmas special for a deserving family this year.”

The Me Fine Foundation Inc. was founded by friends and family of Folden Lee IV, ho was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in May 2003. Cyndy Elkins Named To Local Advisory Board

Local Day Spa Wins First Place For Midsize Business Category

RALEIGH, N.C. – Erika Mangrum, president of Iatria Spa and Health Center, has announced that the firm has been named one of 2006 Best Places to Work by the Triangle Business Journal at a luncheon Sept. 14 at the Embassy Suites in Cary. The firm won first place for the midsize business category for the annual award, based on a survey performed by Triangle Business Journal with Quantum Market Research. The midsize business category encompasses businesses with 51 to 500 employees.

“I am excited that Iatria Spa and Health Center won a Best Places to Work award,” said Mangrum. “It is even more gratifying to learn we finished at the top in our category. It shows how much employees believe Iatria has the right working atmosphere for them to do their best.”

About the Best Places to Work Awards:
Workers in the Triangle nominated their employers as a Best Place to Work in the survey. Nominated companies received an online opinion survey to distribute to workers. Employees then were asked to gauge their level of agreement to a set of 40 quantitative questions that probed their opinions about the organization, managers, co-workers and their own jobs. The survey also allowed respondents to enter qualitative, general comments anonymously. A total of 100 local companies participated in the survey; 92 met the threshold of employee participation to qualify for the competition. Thirty companies received awards after the survey results were analyzed. Winners were the top 10 finishers among small, midsize and large businesses.
