Dr. Tarun Agarwal

Dr. Tarun Agarwal was born in the small town of Bikaner in northern India and moved to the United States at age 2. Raised in Rockingham, North Carolina, Dr. Agarwal, as his patients call him, first knew he wanted to be a dentist in the 10th grade, following in the footsteps of his father who practiced dentistry in India. He began Dental Arts in September of 2000 as a full service dental office offering state-of-the-art cosmetic, restorative and hygiene care while providing individualized service and personal attention to each patient. He is committed to education and supplying his patients with the newest technological advancements including Painless Sedation Dentistry, Mercury Free Dentistry, laser procedures without needles and drills, and more.

Dr. Agarwal is a graduate of the University of Missouri in Kansas City. As a highly respected professional in the field of aesthetic and restorative dentistry, Dr. Agarwal has completed extensive training at the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the Esthetic Epitome Series in Charlotte, NC. He is a past clinical mentor and guest lecturer at the Esthetic Epitome Ross Nash Seminars in Charlotte, NC, where he has helped hundreds of dentists and team members learn the latest techniques in aesthetic dentistry. His energy, passion, and unique practice approach has made him a nationally recognized lecturer and seminar leader.

Dr. Agarwal has been named Townie of the Year by the DentalTown community for his outstanding contributions to both dentistry and the online community, particularly due to his efforts in coordinating the first DentalTown conference. He received the BIOLASE Laser Award for his expertise in the use of dental lasers and sharing this expertise with dentists from around the world. Most recently he was named as one of the top 100 American Dentists by Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Dr. Agarwal resides in Raleigh with his wife Mona.

Services Offered By Dr. Agarwal

Dr. Agarwal will be offering tooth whitening solutions based on a Good, Better, and Best value proposal. It is preferred that all clients go through a 30-minute consultation with Dr. A before making a decision. The consultation will be free. The basic parameters of the three solutions are as follows.

Good

Tres White tooth whitening product - A stand-alone whitening product which may be purchased over the counter. This will require customer’s signature on the form identifying potential risks. This product is very strong and may cause some irritation if used in the presence of cavities or if allowed to sit on the gum line. Contains ten trays per box. Each “tray” is applied about (45-60) minutes and then may be disposed of. Retail on the box is $75.

Better

Custom trays and Rembrandt whitening product – Dr A will do a “look-see” exam of the client’s teeth and, if qualified, will make custom impressions of the client’s teeth at Iatria. Custom trays will be made from the impressions and will take approximately a week to a week and a half to receive. Client will pick up custom trays and Rembrandt whitening product at Dental Arts. To make it easier we can setup delivery at Iatria. Dr. A’s office will notify client that trays are ready. If trays are made, we will collect $250 from the client at the time the impressions are made. Rembrandt product is an overnight product which works only in conjunction with the custom trays. Clients may purchase Rembrandt refills for $35.

Custom trays with power whitening treatments and Rembrandt whitening product - Dr A will do a “look-see” exam of the client’s teeth and, if qualified, will make custom impressions of the client’s teeth at Iatria. Custom tray will take approximately a week to make. Dr. A’s office will schedule the pick up of the trays and the power whitening sessions. The power whitening takes place in two sessions. The first will take approximately an hour and will be scheduled along with the pick up of the custom trays and Rembrandt product. The second power whitening session will be scheduled two-three weeks later and will take about two hours. If trays are made, we will collect $995 from the client at the time the impressions are made. Rembrandt product is an overnight product which works only in conjunction with the custom trays. Clients may purchase Rembrandt refills for $35.
